Blackwood House
YOU FIRST™
Go ahead. We’ll be right behind you.
The Blackwood family disappeared here in 1987. The house has been accepting visitors ever since.
01 / The Property
The Haunt
Blackwood House sat empty for years after the Blackwood family vanished during a Halloween party in 1987.
Nobody ever found a convincing explanation. The sheriff wrote it up as a disappearance. The town wrote it up as a warning. The front door still opens, the upstairs lights still turn on, and every October somebody decides that sounds like a fun night out.
Guests move room by room through the estate, the servant halls, and whatever is still alive around the property line. It is atmospheric, actor-driven, and just disrespectful enough to your nerves to make the ride home real quiet.
02 / Access Areas
The Experiences
Three ways through Blackwood property. None of them improve your odds.
Blackwood House
The front door still works.
Narrow halls, locked bedrooms, old family rooms, and doors that were not on the original floor plan.
The Crawlspace
Management says it is structurally sound.
Low ceilings, unfinished tunnels, exposed pipes, dirt walls, and sections nobody remembers building.
The Tree Line
Stay on the path.
The original search parties stopped here. You, apparently, paid money to keep going.
03 / Schedule
Choose Your Night
Select a date to continue. Each night has its own atmosphere, crowd level, and brand of trouble.
Blackwood Operating Notice
Every night is different.
Weather, crowd size, and special effects change the tone of the property. Check back for updates, additional nights, and the occasional unexplained closure.
04 / Admission
Tickets
Pick how long you want to stand outside reconsidering your decisions.
Timed entry to Blackwood House, The Crawlspace, and The Tree Line. All three experiences are included.
- Timed entry window
- All three attractions
- Standard queue
- Approximately 35 minutes
Same terrible property. Less time standing outside listening to everybody else scream first.
- Priority entry lane
- All three attractions
- Reduced outdoor wait
- Same 35-minute experience
Tickets are date-specific. Peak nights may sell out. No refunds because you got scared in the parking lot.
05 / Conditions
What You're Getting Into
This is not a museum tour. Blackwood House is dark, loud, narrow, wet in places, and occasionally way too close to your face.

Conditions of Entry
By entering the property, you are agreeing to a controlled environment designed specifically to make you uncomfortable.
Some areas are nearly black. Your eyes will adjust. Probably.
Rapid flashes, sudden blackouts, moving light, and theatrical effects are used throughout.
The Crawlspace includes low ceilings, narrow passages, pipes, and enclosed sections.
Performers may approach quickly, shout, follow, block your path, or appear where you were very sure nobody was standing.
The Tree Line includes uneven ground, dirt, mud, roots, fog, and weather exposure.

Know Before You Go
Read this now. Asking the same questions at the gate while somebody is screaming behind you is less convenient.
House Rules
Do Not Be That Person
- No touching actors, props, sets, or other guests.
- No running, pushing, climbing, or leaving the marked route.
- No smoking, vaping, alcohol, weapons, or open flames.
- No flash photography or bright phone lights inside the attractions.
- Follow staff instructions the first time. They have enough going on.
Health Warning
Maybe Sit This One Out
Blackwood House uses darkness, fog, loud audio, strobe effects, tight spaces, sudden scares, uneven terrain, and theatrical effects.
Guests with heart conditions, seizure disorders, severe respiratory conditions, mobility concerns, or sensitivity to intense lighting and sound should consider whether the experience is appropriate before entering.
Weather + Clothing
Dress Like You Checked Outside
Part of the experience is outdoors. Mud, wet ground, cold weather, roots, gravel, and fog are all normal.
Closed-toe shoes strongly recommended.Arrival
Do Not Show Up Whenever
- Arrival
- 15 minutes before your entry window
- Parking
- Free on-site parking

- Subject to availability

Emergency exits are marked. Staff can remove you from the attraction at any time if you need to leave.
07 / Witness Statements
People Made It Out
Most of them even had nice things to say afterward. Once they stopped yelling.
"The Crawlspace got me worse than anything. I knew somebody was behind me and still screamed when they moved."
"I paid extra for Fast Entry because I hate waiting. Turns out I should have used the extra time to emotionally prepare."
"The woods were the worst part. You cannot see anything, then suddenly you realize something has been walking next to you."
"Took my teenagers. They laughed at me in the parking lot. Nobody was laughing by the second room."
08 / Questions
Things People Ask Before Going In
Fair questions. Mostly. A few of these really should have answered themselves.
01 Do the actors touch you?
Actors may get close, follow you, block your path, shout, and generally make personal space feel like a historical concept. They are not there to grab or intentionally harm guests.
02 What if I need to leave?
Tell a staff member. Emergency exits are marked throughout the attraction, and staff can remove you from the experience if you decide you have had enough character development for one evening.
03 Is this appropriate for kids?
The recommended age is 13 and older. The experience uses darkness, loud sounds, sudden scares, enclosed areas, theatrical effects, and actors who are committed to ruining everybody's composure equally.
04 What happens if it rains?
Portions of Blackwood are outdoors, so normal weather is part of the experience. Severe conditions may affect operations. Check posted updates before heading to the property.
05 Can I take photos or video inside?
Not inside the attractions. Flash photography and bright phone lights ruin effects, slow everybody down, and make you extremely easy to find.
06 Is Fast Entry a different experience?
Nope. Same house, same Crawlspace, same Tree Line, same bad decisions. Fast Entry only reduces the amount of time you spend outside listening to other people scream first.
07 Is Blackwood House actually haunted?
Official answer: it is a haunted attraction staffed by performers. Unofficial answer: nobody has explained the upstairs window yet.
09 / Last Warning
Interesting Decision.
You read the warnings. You saw the photos. You even made it through the FAQ and somehow decided this still sounds fun.
Fine. The front door is still open.
