BAD INFLUENCE™ / ORIGIN STORY

BAD COMPANY.

This seemed like a good idea at the time.

THE SHORT VERSION

BAD INFLUENCE™ is what happens when questionable taste gets a design budget.

Concept armory. Premium gear. Suspiciously good branding.

03 / DECISIONS QUESTIONABLE JUDGMENT
04 / SOMEHOW SUSPICIOUSLY GOOD BRANDING

THE INCIDENT report.

How did this happen?

FILE STATUS UNRESOLVED

The idea.

Build a concept armory that looks expensive enough to make common sense feel underdressed.

Unfortunately, nobody stopped us.

The standard.

No bargain-bin visuals. No generic tactical-store cosplay. Everything has to look deliberately designed.

Apparently “make it look expensive” became a personality trait.

The problem.

We made the branding suspiciously convincing. Now people keep asking whether BAD INFLUENCE™ is a real store.

That feels like both a compliment and a legal question.

The rule.

If it feels generic, kill it. If it feels boring, make it stranger. If it still sucks, start over.

We have backups. Usually.
ABOUT / 03 THE ALIBI

FOR THE RECORD

WE HAD reasons.

There was a method to this. Calling it a good method feels legally ambitious.

01

PRINCIPLE / 01

DESIGN IT
ON PURPOSE.

If it looks accidental, it better be because we spent three hours making it look accidentally perfect.

Even the mistakes have art direction.
02

PRINCIPLE / 02

MAKE IT FEEL
EXPENSIVE.

Premium does not mean adding more stuff. It means every piece knows exactly why it is there.

Yes. The whitespace has a job.
03

PRINCIPLE / 03

DON'T BE
BORING.

If the safest version is forgettable, we would rather make the version people remember.

Subtlety was invited. It left early.
CASE CLOSED / PROBABLY We stand by most of this.

OFFICIAL CONCLUSION

NO FURTHER QUESTIONS.

Probably.

FINAL STATEMENT

If you made it this far, either the branding worked or you’ve made several questionable decisions in a row.

We respect both possibilities.
