Smash burgers cooking on a hot restaurant griddle

OUR STORY / KIND OF

NOBODY ASKED. WE COOKED.

EST. WHENEVER WE GOT HUNGRY

A fictional restaurant with an unnecessarily serious relationship with crispy burger edges.

01

THE ORIGIN

IT STARTED WITH A SPATULA.

Somebody put beef on a hot flat-top, smashed it harder than necessary, waited until the edges got crispy, added cheese, and accidentally created a business plan.

There were no consultants. No focus groups. No twelve-month strategy deck. Just a grill, some buns, and the increasingly loud opinion that burgers should actually taste like burgers.

THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM

Two patties. Crispy edges. Melted cheese. Nobody needed a whiteboard meeting.

02

KITCHEN PHILOSOPHY

KEEP IT SIMPLE.

01

HOT GRILL.

If the grill isn't hot enough to make you reconsider standing near it, we're not ready.

02

HARD SMASH.

Maximum contact. Maximum crust. Minimum opportunity for the burger to become boring.

03

MELT CHEESE.

This sounds obvious, yet somehow society continues to require reminders.

04

DON'T TOUCH IT.

At some point you have to trust the person holding the spatula. Let him cook.

THE KITCHEN

CONTROLLED CHAOS.

A good burger kitchen should sound a little aggressive.

Metal on steel. Beef hitting the griddle. Fries dropping. Somebody yelling that table twelve needs another sauce. That's the soundtrack.

03

THINGS WE DON'T DO.

01

BURGERS THAT REQUIRE A FORK.

02

SEVENTEEN INGREDIENTS FOR NO REASON.

03

DESCRIBING PICKLES AS AN EXPERIENCE.

04

TINY PORTIONS ON GIANT PLATES.

05

PRETENDING LUNCH IS A PERSONALITY TEST.

Large spread of burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, fries, and shakes

THE MISSION

FEED PEOPLE. MAKE IT GOOD.
